My Reflection

I am learning to write a DASH narrative.  I am proud of my whole story.  I like all of it.  My next learning is to write another narrative.

Art Exhibition

 I really like this because the bright flowers stand out and it is in a natured area.

Geometry-Polyhedra

My Reflection

I am learning to construct models of a polyhedra.  It was tricky to build my icosahedron because it kept falling apart.  My buddy was Denver  and she helped me to build a icosahedron.  I can explain the features of a polyhedra.  Next time I will construct another polyhedron.

Six Sentence Story

My Reflection

I am learning to write a six sentences narrative.I am most proud the problem in my narrative.my next step is to write another six sentences narrative about another character.

Author's Purpose

My Reflection

I am learning to find out what  the author's purpose is.  It was easy to find out what the author's purpose because the illustrations helped.  I also read the text carefully.  My next step is to identify the author's purpose in non-fiction texts.

Fractions

My Reflection

I am learning to find fractions of a set by equal sharing.  I am able to use skip counting and repeated addition to solve these problems.  My next step is to use multiplication facts to solve these problems.

Persuasive Writing

My Reflection

I am learning persuasive writing.  I am most proud of my speech because I worked on it so hard on it and because I added a lot.  My next step is to try write my speech three minutes long and to use emotive words.

Extending Knowledge of Vocabulary.

My Reflection

I am learning to extend my knowledge of vocabulary.  It was helpful to use dictionary because it gave me the definition of the word; and it helped to read the word in a sentence.  My next step is to carry on using a dictionary and reading the words in context because this helps me to understand the meaning of new words.

Bike Skills

I learnt how to stand up on a bike it was a little hard.

Extending Vocabulary

My Reflection

I am learning to extend my knowledge of new vocabulary.  I can now identify the meanings of new words.  Next, I will try to work out the meaning of new vocabulary by reading the rest of the sentence. 

Division

My Reflection 

I am learning to solve problems by making equal shares.  It was easy to use my multiplication fact knowledge to solve these problems.  My next step is to work out more complicated problems.

Explanation Writing

My Reflection

I am learning how to write an explanation.

I was able to describe the routine event.

My next step is to write a more complicated and detailed explantion.

My Reflection

I am learning to summarise information by choosing the important information in the text.  This learning was hard  because I had to write my own words in my work.  It was helpful having a buddy and the teacher to help.  My next step is to summarise other texts.

Parts of a Graph

My ReflectionI am learning the parts of a graph.

It was hard to put the labels in the right place.  This was hard because it was new learning.  My next step is to learn more about graphs.
